OCCUPATION =  Earl worked in a Tannery in Gorham, Maine.  He worked as a Flagman on a Road Construction project in Gorham, Maine during the depression in the late 1920's.  He worked for a Paper Company in Westbrook, Maine nailing up crates of paper for shipping.  He worked for the Laughlin Company in Portland, Maine (the company made forgings for the Marine Industry) - his job was to sharpen the dies for the Laughlin Company.  He worked at the Laughlin  Company until he retired.
