MILITARY = Dad fought in WWII and joined the army on March 25, 1944. He served in the 1481 Company-Corp of Engineers as Corporal Technician (T5) in Okinawa, Japan. He operated his own truck machine shop and made parts for contruction machinery and aircraft. He left Okinawa, Japan on April 16, 1946 and arrived at Fort Dix in New Jersey on May 14, 1946.
