The origin of the name Webber is English and the Coat of Arms contains Silver a blue chevron between three blue disks. The Crest is Two arms holding a blue disk on which there is a gold fleur de lis. The family motto is Liliae praelucent telis.

First found in Somerset where they were one of the many Flemish industrialist families who settled in the west country in the 13th century.

Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Thomas Webber who settled in Maine in 1616; four years before the "Mayflower"; Henry Webber of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, in 1782; claims that the property had been in possession of the family for 105 years, 1677.
